After completing his education at Özel Darüşşafaka High School in 1984, he graduated as a medical doctor from Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1990. Following the completion of his specialization in Pediatrics, in 2008, he began his sub-specialization training in Neonatology at Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Education and Research Hospital. He completed his sub-specialization training in Neonatology with his thesis on the relationship between hyperglycemia and retinopathy in very low birth weight preterm infants.
