He completed his MBBS from Madras Medical College, Chennai in 1987 and MS – General Surgery from PGIMR in 1992. Later, he went on for his MCh – Thoracic Surgery from Madras Medical College, Chennai in 1995. He has performed more than 15000 heart surgeries. Dr. Jothi has received many awards from many organizations for performing free heart surgeries.
