Tongaonkar is regarded as one of the greatest urologists in Bombay and is now affiliated with Max Nanavati Hospital in West Mumbai, where he served as Director of Urology.He is a Gastrointestinal Surgeon, Gynae Oncology, General Surgeon, and Urologist with +36 years of experience.His areas of specialization include Cervical Cancer, Enlarged Prostate, Human Papillomavirus Infection, Hysterectomy, Ovarian Cancer, Prostate, Bladder and upper urinary tract, Renal and testicular Cancers, Ureteral Stones, TURP, and critical care.He earned his MBBS from the University of Bombay in 1986 and his MS in General Surgery from the same university in 1988.
